Dorothy enjoyed a long-standing career in a Fortune 500 company where she managed and led numerous high-profile projects across various industries and sectors including health care. Her background in management and project management working in a global company offered her the opportunity to mentor, coach and educate managers and peers alike across multiple geographies and cultures. As a graduate school instructor, Dorothy utilizes creative, experiential approaches to help students learn and grow their understanding of marriage and family theories, techniques and interventions.

An effective communicator with intrinsic ability to diffuse stressful situations, Dorothy builds trust and helps clients achieve their goals and objectives. She has a background in Christian counseling and experience interacting with clients from diverse populations, ages, and cultures in an empathetic manner that promotes client’s openness and well-being.

Dorothy’s compassion and desire to see people’s lives transformed is informed by her Christian faith, motivating her to serve others in numerous capacities. As a trained Stephen Minister, she has provided care to people who are hurting and in need. Dorothy has served as a lay pastor to people experiencing life issues in her congregation and community by providing spiritual, emotional support and by fostering care and respect in a non-judgmental manner. As a community outreach volunteer she facilitated coordination of essential resources including rehabilitation centers, shelters, and food pantries sources for disadvantaged populations struggling with homelessness, addictions and poverty.

Dorothy enjoys traveling and has visited over 25 countries around the world in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Africa, Central America and North America. She also enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes to enjoy with family and friends.
