ACADEMIC EVALUATIONS
Psychoeducational Evaluations are available for preschoolers, children, adolescents, college students, and adults. I will help you determine which of the following are most appropriate for you or your child:
- IQ Testing – To determine academic strengths and weaknesses; also identifies giftedness and mental retardation
- Achievement Testing – To determine mastery of specific subjects (reading, writing, and math)
- AD/HD Testing – To determine the presence of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
- Sadness and depression
- Learning Disabilities Testing – To determine the presence of a Learning Disorder
- Full Psychoeducational Testing – All of the above plus ruling out the influence of mental health conditions
- Readiness for Kindergarten Testing (for preschool children) – To determine whether your child meets eligibility criteria for early entry
PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS
- Cognitive, emotional and personality testing to answer complex questions about a child or adult’s functioning
- Can also be helpful if a parent wants a child evaluated for Asperger’s Syndrome or Autism
- Abbreviated psychological evaluations or single tests such as the MMPI-2 or MMPI-A can be given if there are more specific questions or if cognitive functioning does not need to be evaluated
